(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 7 - The five victims of the sewer gas
tragedy at Casteldaccia near Palermo Monday were hit by the
sulphur dioxide after a rupture in a sewage cap, sources said
Tuesday.
The latest in a spate of Italian workplace accidents cost the
lives of four Quadrifoglio Group workers and a temporary worker
from Amap.
Quadrifoglio had been subcontracted by Tek, which had been
awarded the contract by Amap, to carry out maintenance work on
the sewage network in Casteldaccia. (ANSA).
