to the fourth tranche of Italy's National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP) Tuesday.
"The Commission's positive assessment demonstrates the great
progress made by Italy and, just a few days after the European
Commission's approval of the general revision of the NRRP,
confirms the government's great commitment to fully implement
the NRRP to make the country more modern and more competitive",
she said in a video on social media.
She noted: "The Commission today approved Italy's fourth payment
request, for EUR 16.5 billion, confirming that Italy has met all
28 objectives and targets set".
"The payment of the EUR 16.5 billion is expected by the end of
this year. Italy will have received about EUR 102 billion by
2023, so more than half of the NRRP. Italy will also be the only
