Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister
Antonio Tajani on Thursday had a first contact over the phone
with the new Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Italy's
foreign ministry said in a statement.
"I confirmed to Sybiha the convinced support of the Italian
government for the territorial integrity, the sovereignty and
independence of Ukraine.
"We will remain by Kyiv's side until a fair peace is reached",
Tajani was quoted as saying by the statement.
