Former European central banker and
Italian premier Mario Draghi will be in Strasbourg on Tuesday,
September 17, to present his report on competitiveness during a
plenary session of the European Parliament, the EP presidency
announced on Wednesday.
Draghi on Monday presented his 400-page blueprint on the future
of European competitiveness, which was ordered last year by
European Commission President resident Ursula von der Leyen.
Meanwhile on Tuesday the Italian premier's office said Giorgia
Meloni in the afternoon had spoken on the phone with Draghi and
invited him "to meet over the next few days" at Palazzo Chigi to
discuss the report.
