Italy's appeal against the the men's
water polo team's loss to Hungary was rejected on Thursday.
The Settebello team on Wednesday was defeated in a penalty
shootout by Hungary 12-10 in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris
Olympics.
Italy however vigorously protested, appealing over a "technical
mistake".
The decision to reject the appeal was formalized by the World
Aquatics.
