Dow Jones hits intraday record high in New York
Wall Street celebrates rising market levels

(ANSA) - New York, April 3 - The Dow Jones Industrial
Average hit an intraday record high Thursday, gaining 0.17% to
reach 16,601 points in early trading while the S&P 500 index
also set a record, gaining 0.13% to 1,893.41.The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 4.04 points, or 0.09%, at 4,280.50 on Wall Street.
Analysts were surprised at the gains, given new data showing that jobless claims in the United States rose more than expected.
