Soccer: Barcelona given transfer ban by FIFA (ANSA) - Madrid, April 2 - International soccer's governing body FIFA on Wednesday imposed a 14-month transfer ban on Spanish champions Barcelona for breaking regulations on signing international players under the age of 18.

Barcelona will not be allowed to sign or sell players until June 2015.

The Catalan club and the Spanish football federation (RFEF) have also been fined 370,000 euros and 400,000 euros respectively for the same offences.

FIFA gave Barcelona 90 days to resolve the position of 10 players under 18.

Under FIFA rules, international transfers are allowed for under-18s if their parents move to the club's country for other reasons, if they come from a European Union or European economic area country and are aged 16 to 18 or if they live within 100km of the team.
